Turning Tides
This week I have experienced an usual level of appreciation. Everywhere I turn, friends and fans and thanking me, encouraging me, and making me feel my contributions are important. The church choir complimented my Easter processional vision. Many coworkers expressed sentimental farewells on my last day at Abbott. I’ve had more positive feedback at Potbelly than normal, including meeting my “biggest fan” (so a tween boy told me today, to which I replied, “That’s good. I need one of those.”) I even had one of those moments where another car almost snuck in to steal the parking spot I’d identified and driven around to get to, and just as I was about to shamefully say nasty things aloud to the interior of my car, she noticed me, waved, backed out of the spot, and moved on.
!?!?! Somebody sell me a lottery ticket. Humanity has hope yet.
Folks, I no longer work for Corporate America. In honor of turning tides, I am moving my blog from WordPress.com and hosting it on my Official Website.
